01 24 A Tribute to Tom Holst POSTED BY Audrey McGill COMMENTS photo credit: docomomo-wewa.org It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Tom Holst. Tom Holst was the first broker in Seattle to exclusively market modern and mid-century modern homes. Known as “Modern Tom” in the Seattle region, he ran Seattle Modern since 1999. Tom was greatly influential in the Seattle area modernist community and was a longtime supporter, volunteer, and valuable resource on modern architecture for Docomomo WEWA. He was often sought out for his vast knowledge of Northwest Architects and efforts on preserving historic sites. Online tributes can be posted here.
